Mrs Poorna Rajaram explains the importance of a play school in a child’s life and at the right age. Mrs Rajaram runs Balathoshini Vidya Mandir, a playschool and Pre KG in West Mambalam, Chennai. She has been running this successfully for the past 5 years and takes in a maximum of 10 children per year so that each child can be given personal attention and care. She dons the role of a mother to the children at her school in a holistic and value based manner. She is fondly called “periamma” by the kids and by some of their parents too!

She also conducts Sloka classes for slightly older kids and sells plus size kurtis for women. Poorna was a teacher in SSRVM for over 7 years. This made her focus more on small children who are just out of their mother’s arms. Her husband and her daughter are her greatest pillars of support.

Penn Drive is a 1 to 1 interview and a light-hearted banter with women from all walks of life.
